My Things Collage

BeFunky Collage

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. http://sumo.ly/wMsM via @asheritah

I decided for today I wanted to tell about the things I need to leave behind. First off, maybe I’m not the only one who has things to leave behind in order to push forward into a victorious new way of living, and so if you’re like me then read on. If you’re perfect, and God’s gift to mankind, well then I don’t know what to tell ya, so I’ll just continue as you continue with yo bad self. In order to leave things behind, the key is to assemble it all into a box, turn it into an artful collage or tactile art piece if you prefer, and hang it on the wall. This could be memories and old passions, but could also be all the negative things we are doing, but don’t want to or mean to. You can do this at home or create it digitally and post it on social media If you want.

For my frame, I chose to create a digital college, using the websites Pixlr and iPiccy, of the negative things that have kept me down for so long. I created my own picture meme’s without words, and just left it here on my blog for all too see. As you read between the lines, you’ll find issues like straying alone, worry, overly critical attitude, and trying for love. I meant to put internal dialogue into the collage, but I just forgot. All of these negatives can and does often stop me from moving forward. They block my inspiration, keep me up at night, and even cloud my memory as we just witnessed.

So there I am in a collage frame, and I hope you take the time to do this exercise too! Bless you, and may God give you His peace and grace as you decide to make changes by leaving behind the old.
